Description: A special super-fractal version of the unique Quasi-Quasi-Fuchsian I found a while back. This is a fractal I have constructed from scratch in Mandelbulb 3D using foldings and inversions only - My own, very unique find! Inspired by this ol' thread: http://www.fractalforums.com/3d-fractal-generation/quasi-fuchsian-fractal-goodness/ Thank you Dr. Kazushi Ahara and Dr. Yoshiaki Araki and Jos Leys, kram1032, Aexion & co. for inspiring! Part of the Global Hazard Project: http://globalhazard.org Mandelbulb 3D - Monte Carlo render - clouds (own stock) added in Photoshop Oh, and thank you NASA for the height map!!!! KRAFTWERK | June 30, 2016, 08:55:49 AM Thank you Pulsar69, it is NASA:s big height map of the world, and I am satisfied myself with the result of the coloring/shadows/lightning and reflections. Personally I find the fractal more interesting than any height map though ![]() ![]() |

stardust4ever | May 19, 2016, 06:49:04 AM Beautiful! the negative space resembles bulbs on a mandelbrot! |
KRAFTWERK | May 15, 2016, 02:22:59 PM Quote from: LMarkoya Beautiful lighting, makes the scene Thank you Louis, lots of positional lights... ![]() I just uploaded a slightly bigger version of it... took 3 full days to render (Monte Carlo render) on 16 cores... this fractal is not for the impatient. ![]() |
