Fractal Topography
Previous Image | Next Image
Description: This movie, which has been created by Arthur Stammet in May 2015, is based on a soundtrack, composed by the author in 2003.

The footage has been rendered in ArtMatic Designer and ArtMatic Voyager and mounted in Premiere. Like on topographic maps, the author uses here some layers in order to combine different types of fractal animations for a colourful, highly complex result. Beginning and finishing the movie with clouds (a timelaps movie made with a GoPro camera), the spectator enters and leaves this digital animation (simulation) by natural fractals, surrounding some mathematical models. Abstract art and concrete landscapes are brought together in this movie, which is a tribute to Benoît Mandelbrot.
