With the function "Show Inflection" in KF, it is possible to get a preview of how an interesting shape will be stretched by zooming into the point in the view where the mouse is pointing. By moving the mouse around it is possible to control and sculpture the resulting shape.

The preview is on the result that will follow if zooming in the center about 1.5 times the exponent. I use to have a large Zoom size (32 or more) and click on the apprperiate spot when "Show Inflection" is on. Then I turn "Show Inflection" off and continue to zoom in the center until the pattern doubles, about 1.5*exponent.

Then I repeat the procedure until I find the desired shape.
