Description: A ring for all the kings of mathematics at Fractalforums and elsewhere. Thank you for the formulas Msltoe, D White and all you other geniouses! I am also amazed by Shapeways being able to print this ring with so much detail in Bronze. Check out the inside too... it is the real inside of this fractal (invented by Msltoe here at Fractalforums) More images and a 3D view of it at Shapeways: http://shpws.me/twvu Mandelbulb 3D > Fiji > Meshlab > Blender > Netfabb > Shapeways > Your finger Stats: Total Favorities: 1 View Who Favorited Filesize: 170.18kB Height: 1203 Width: 1600 Discussion Topic: View Topic Keywords: msltoe fractal julia printed fractal ring Posted by: KRAFTWERK May 29, 2014, 03:05:42 PM Rating: by 28 members. KRAFTWERK | May 30, 2014, 09:29:46 AM Thank you very much Caleidoscope and Louis. It is amazing what they can print, and mind you, this is printed in wax, a mould is made and the bronze is cast, and the ring is thin and full of details they do a great job at SW. I just received a fractal pendant which I thought they'd never be able to cast, but they did... I'll see if I can take some decent photos of it before the end of May... |
LMarkoya | May 30, 2014, 02:28:17 AM Agreed with Caleidoscope Johan, beautiful job and fantastic detail...I love that you are pointing to the formula.....precious |
Caleidoscope | May 29, 2014, 12:47:33 PM Great picture, nice composition. The ring, the hand, the math. really good. It's amazing, and for me still a small miracle that it is possible to print such a detailed, beautiful and very complex object so perfectly. I saw a docu. recently about how they are even able to print medical objects like veins and bloodvessels and even they are trying to print a heart that will work. It will not be long before they can print about anything. I Love your work Krafstwerk. It's beautiful art. And it's great how you all help eachother |
