LMarkoya: It looks like a Mandelbulb, but its formula is more like a Mandelbox (if you're curious, see the formula details in my "Revisiting Riemann..." post. Confusingly, stereographic projection, in this case, actually refers to the formula for transforming between the complex plane and the surface of sphere. We'll have to wait for incorporation into one of the popular 3D fractal codes for 3-D stereo smiley

Pretty cool variation....is this Mandelbulb and is there a place I can see the stereo version?
