simon.snake | August 25, 2012, 09:25:10 PM Erm, now that's put me on the spot. I'll have to load the image and see which one of my fractint formulae it was made with... [spends time rummaging through thousands of images] Right, here's my fractInt formula: Code: simon0047-C { ; Set outside colouring to tdis ; Set Iterations to 150 ; ; SMF - Added julia 28/04/2012 ; (works really well) if (ismand) z = 0 p = pixel else z = pixel p = p1 endif c = 0: z = abs(z*z-p*p) c = c + 1 c < 50 } And here's the parameter file to recreate it: Code: IntricateHoneycomb { ; Fractint Version 2099 Patchlevel 8 reset=2099 type=formula formulafile=simon.frm formulaname=simon0047-C ismand=n passes=1 center-mag=-0.510342/-0.312751/2.669229/0.75 params=-0.98807429130009672/-0.27937940026075581 float=y fillcolor=0 inside=0 outside=tdis colors=0005E_0AU<3>87AA65C50<3>on4zz5zzz<3>XazPVzLSu<3>5E_0AU2AP<3>A65C5\ 0MG1<3>zz5zzz<3>XazPVzLSu<3>5E_0AU2AP<3>A65C50MG1<3>zz5zzz<3>XazPVzLSu<3\ >5E_0AU2AP<3>A65C50MG1<3>zz5zzz<3>XazPVzLSu<3>5E_0AU2AP<3>A65C50MG1<3>zz\ 5zzz<3>XazPVzLSu<3>5E_0AU2AP<3>A65C50MG1<3>zz5zzz<3>XazPVzLSu<3>5E_0AU2A\ P<3>A65C50MG1<3>zz5zzz<3>XazPVzLSu<3>5E_0AU2AP<3>A65C50MG1<3>zz5zzz<3>Xa\ zPVzLSu<3>5E_0AU2AP<3>A65C50MG1C50<3>on4zz5zzz<3>XazPVzLSu<3>5E_0AU2AP<3\ >A65C50MG1<3>zz5zzz<3>XazPVzLSu<3>5E_0AU2AP<3>A65C50MG1<3>zz5zzz<4>PVz<3\ >9Hd } You'll notice the outside colouring method is tdis which is described as the total distance travelled by the orbit, and this makes a really interesting fractal. This image is a julia of one of the points. Help yourself to the formula, and the parameter file. Hope there's everything there to get you started in recreating the image. |
