Description: Movie and Soundtrack by Arthur Stammet, created in May 2012.
3D Fractal created with Mandelbulb 3D from fractalforums.com.

This animation is a very long trip (more than 20 minutes) exploring some regions of a changing world. It was important for me to show the whole voyage without any cuts, and so, it has been rendered in Mandelbulb 3D, using only one fractal with changing parameters and all the changes are the result of tweaked parameters. Nevertheless, my explorations seem to show many different worlds. The high number of morphings coming at many different moments of the animation intends to underline the real unity, tying together the different states of this surrealistic mathematical world.

The soundtrack is a remix of "Ether, symphonie concertante pour radios et magnétophones", composed in 1993, mounted in Premiere CS5. The visual surrealism mirrors, in another artistic dimension, the surrealism of the soundtrack, composed with texts, spoken or sung in a series of different languages (German, French, English) and some electronic sounds. An important part of the spoken text has been written by Salvador Dali (Der große Masturbator). The movie brings both together, painting a kind of (im)possible dream.

The version presented on Youtube has only a restricted resolution because of the length of the movie. The 720p version is simply too big for the host.

A series of characteristic frames of the movie may be seen in my flickr-album.
