| November 18, 2009, 10:27:08 AM I love this image. the formula is the 3D White Nylander 2nd order Mandelbulb. When you cut the 3D shape in half across the "obvious" plane, you get the 2D Mandelbrot. Here I chose another cut plan, the one which is perpendicular to the "obvious" plane. New fractal shapes appear and I think they were never seen before. This is a zoom in the "pseudo-seahorse valley". |
