cKleinhuis,
I stated in the gallery and always, that I never use any imported pictures in my fractal works. The barrel was very, very easy to do. It is not with one layer, but I made it in 15 minutes. Even as such simple object is not much of a secret I thought to make a small tutorial about how to make it in Deviantart, but probably there will be no much of interest in such object.

I'm playing with UF since 2001, but only in 2010 began to show art and the realistic ships came in 2011. By seeing that galleries here in Spain absolutely refuse to expose spirals and typical fractals had to invent something else. Btw I could paint of course ships or whatever, yet here comes the speed. To paint realistic ship and sea takes long time, while in UF I build the scene in 3-4hours and leave it to the computer to calculate and meanwhile I can paint something traditional or so wink

I would love to know how you do that in Ultra Fractal. I haven't tried that program yet, but wow - how many years did it take you to learn how to create these ships? Really awesome!  A Beer Cup
