KRAFTWERK | March 07, 2011, 10:24:34 AM Well, you have to do that in Photoshop too, but in this case the background was to busy to use any easy way, thats why I used the eraser, with a soft eraser I get the same result as if I would "feather" a selection, I could have used a mask too, but was too lazy I guess... |
Guest | March 04, 2011, 08:43:22 PM Ah. In Gimp, I usually feather my selection by two pixels as the default anti-aliasing isn't very good. |
KRAFTWERK | March 01, 2011, 08:47:45 AM In this case I use a "soft" eraser in photoshop to get a soft edge. |
Guest | February 28, 2011, 09:57:08 PM I meant the edges of the swan. Do you feather the selection? It blends well with the background. |
KRAFTWERK | February 28, 2011, 08:43:05 AM Thank you Erisian, By "anti-aliasing" do you mean anti-aliasing in the fractal or the "edges" of the swan? The swan is manually "cut" from it's original image... |
Guest | February 25, 2011, 09:14:32 PM Another nice piece. Your anti-aliasing is spot on. Is that a default PS function or did you do it manually? |
KRAFTWERK | February 25, 2011, 08:55:29 AM Thank you BrutalToad & Popol! I am a bit overwhelmed by the response I got for this piece here... Didn't expect it really Thanks again!!! |
Lee Oliver | February 24, 2011, 09:35:49 PM Very good composition. I think it's amazing, but the swan couldn't care less |
popol4444 | February 24, 2011, 05:18:38 PM Great good nice job. |
KRAFTWERK | February 24, 2011, 04:28:40 PM Thanks Rev, glad you love it!!! And thank you Lenord... yes, and in this case nature seems to be more ordered than this fractals messed up strange attractor... |
lenord | February 24, 2011, 04:13:46 PM Great study in the contrasts of Natures Fractals and Man made |
Guest | February 24, 2011, 04:08:51 PM I love it! Very cool. The Rev |
KRAFTWERK | February 24, 2011, 12:13:46 PM Thank you junkdog, have to get a bigger telephoto-lens... |
Guest | February 24, 2011, 12:01:16 PM Stunning! I like how you brought out the fractal features of the swan; now we just need a deep zoom on those feathers. |
