Not a Julia at all, nor  any sort of "style" - It's a plain old Mandelbrot "z=z^2 + C" find!

I figured since I bought UltraFractal for a commercial job, I may as well use it for something (I still am on the fence about whether I even like UltraFractal - it just doesn't "flow" with my way of thinking)  (I have ...  Unusual tastes!).

Here's the formula to paste in UF if you care...

Code:
flowa {
fractal:
  title="flowa" width=480 height=480 layers=1 credits="fool;4/21/2010"
layer:
  caption="Background" opacity=100
mapping:
  center=-1.81007290334266291354485133354518457362458875445443907/0.00\
  0030328596145608080236068674186195473862867235350400314035
  magn=3.7189533E45 angle=-36.5493
formula:
  maxiter=50000 filename="Standard.ufm" entry="Mandelbrot" p_start=0/0
  p_power=2/0 p_bailout=4
inside:
  transfer=none
outside:
  transfer=linear
gradient:
  smooth=yes index=7 color=11075785 index=100 color=16121855 index=184
  color=1376256 index=249 color=262144 index=274 color=15359 index=283
  color=112
opacity:
  smooth=no index=0 opacity=255
}

That's the saved file - I increased the resolution (and possibly the iterations?) for the contest render, but that all it was!

Interesting shapes. Looks like a "runes" style embedded Julia dragon near the spike minibrot got zoomed into somewhere, but that somewhere made things more interesting than usual.
