Really good! Refraction is difficult with fractals, because there are so complex. To get very good effects there would be needed to calculate hundreds of reflections/refractions.  But this will make rendering enormous long (e.g. one month). I see that you found good approach by reducing detail level. This way there is bigger chance that light ray will be able to pass through the object.

Thank you Ryche. Refraction is really very difficult to use properly. Took me weeks to get anything looking remotely glasslike.

Very interesting output. Refractive coloring looks very cool.

Not yet worked on Mandelbulber so no idea how you approached this. But the resulting textures are very unlike most fractal work i see online.. smiley
