Menger Ice Cube - 3D printed Ring
Previous Image | Next Image
Description: I did this most for fun but it came out so nice from the 3D printer I had to share it. The smallest holes are 0.85mm and they printed really well, you can see right through them and they give a strange "spongy" optical effect when you wiggle the ring. And it is very fun to wear, puts a smile on peoples faces! Printed in Frosted Ultra Detail Plastic A serious fractal jewelry collection I have been working on for months is to be revealed in the beginning of 2014. Happy NY! KRAFTWERK | January 02, 2014, 10:30:35 AM Thank you mclarekin, it is! It is probably possible to print it in the cheaper plastic materials (I will give it a go) but that effect comes partly from the transparence of the "Frosted Ultra Detail Plastic" |
mclarekin | January 02, 2014, 10:04:18 AM Thanks for sharing. The spongy optical effect sounds cool |
