Pauldelbrot | February 28, 2012, 11:31:57 PM It's the "octahedral" variation from Softology's contributions to the "simple patterns" thread that introduced the Kaliset family of fractals. I'd provide a direct link, but for some reason most pages of that thread produce "500 server error" pages instead of the correct page when viewed at FF now. Softology's explanation of the "octahedral" variation's math can be viewed via Google's Cache along with a chunk of the rest of the thread around it, but half the images are missing. The Julia seed is -0.5676823259 + 0.685360172i. The center coordinates are 0.9769512521 + 1.5528799705i; magnification is shallow. |
Kali | February 28, 2012, 10:28:41 PM Very nice, Paul. Can you please specify the Julia values and wich Kaliset variation it is? I guess is the Kaliset based on fracmonk's formula. |
