Rotated Inversion
Previous Image | Next Image
Description: This could be of interest. After reading a post by Sam Monnier's about space filling patterns without using "mirrors", it occurred to me that a rotated inversion could lead to kaleidoscopic patterns without using a fold. I just tried a 2D formula with good results, but I moved quickly to M3D because I saw a 3D potential with certain values.  If you look at the params, you will see a rotated amazing box formula, but is using only the inversion part (boxfold is set to 0). It's a bit difficult to figure out the correct values that leads to good results, but I think this has some potential and could lead to the design of a nice 3D formula.
