Filigree Reliquary | ||||||

Description: Hi, this is one of a number of variations that seem to have emerged in my first week with Mandelbulb3D, based upon a Menger formula. I'd love to know how to get the same picture(s) without the graininess/dissolving across the distant central area - which is why I didn't post in time for the competition. Any tips folk might offer being the reason for submitting it now. It reminds me of some intricate Middle and Far Eastern carving or filigree jewellery. Twinned with the similar but more other-worldly 'Abandoned Mothership'. regards Kam Stats: Total Favorities: 0 View Who Favorited Filesize: 223.27kB Height: 450 Width: 800 Discussion Topic: View Topic Keywords: Filigree Reliquary image Posted by: kameelian May 02, 2011, 09:08:26 AM Rating: by 2 members. lenord | May 02, 2011, 02:41:15 PM The Step Width Limiter and Raystep Multiplier, the lower the cleaner, also first step Random and Normals on DE can effect noise levels...a low DE Stop could lead you into trouble areas with large render sizes. |
kameelian | May 02, 2011, 11:39:03 AM Update regarding graininess. Ah, changing DE Stop from 0.8 to 0.1 does the trick for near distance and 0.01 for further. Kam |
