Fractalic Rhinoceros Lacemaker Fusion
Previous Image | Next Image
Description: …the Fusion… and finished version.

I was asked to do a bigger render of this piece: http://mandelwerk.deviantart.com/#/d3e9zck
And I decided to go for the exact size of Vermeers original, which is 9 5/8 x 8 1/4 in. (24.5 x 21 cm.) or 2480 x 2894 pixels @ 300 dpi.
It is not just a bigger render, I have changed the light so it is from the same angle as the light in Vermeer:s original.

This time I also decided to fuse my fractal version with the original, I did not move the original image at all, and the shapes fits so well I almost get scared… Hope you like it.

Text from the 'study': Second image in my series (?) of fractal versions of classical masterpieces, this time "The Lacemaker" by Vermeer (/Dalí).

To make a long story short, Salvador Dalí was fascinated by the connection between "The Lacemaker" by Vermeer http://www.essentialvermeer.com/catalogue/lacemaker.html and the horns of the Rhinoceros. http://www.essentialvermeer.com/catalogue/images/intractv/lace_dali.jpg http://www.youtube.com/v/WbhzowNipuk&rel=1&fs=1&hd=1
This lead me to do a comment to LMarkoya that "The Lacemaker" probably where hiding somewhere in the Rhinoceros fractal I was working on at the moment: http://mandelwerk.deviantart.com/#/d34v0ef
And a couple of days ago I found her (not in that fractal though), in this image she is mysteriously merged with the rhino and the furniture! I feel a quantum-physical state in these 3D fractals, the images doesn't exist until you start looking for them.

Less JPEG:ed version: http://MANDELWERK.deviantart.com/art/Fractalic-Rhinoceros-Lacemaker-205881132

Fractal part rendered with Mandelbulb 3D. Vermeers original masterpiece superimposed to the fractal in Photoshop..

I keep returning to this piece, absolutely love it! Please keep fractalizing the classics afro

Do you know from where the clip originates? A cursory search on youtube didn't turn up anything.
