Description: I have started to check what Mandelbulber is capable of, and I'm not disappointed Here is a quick test. I feel at first sight that the render is a little bit more realistic than in Mandelbulb3D, but the calculation time seems longer. Just an impression of course.

Tater | December 11, 2010, 02:53:08 AM Nice. I have been using Mandelbulber too. I am a rank amateur, but it seems pretty intuitive and a little more flexible than Mandelbulb3D. |
Guest | December 05, 2010, 07:26:26 PM Wonderful.. |
reallybigname | December 03, 2010, 07:41:50 AM Nice one! I just had to see what it would look like with less noise: http://reallybigname.com/renders/fractalforums/492_06_11_10_5_45_43.jpeg Photoshop > Filters > Noise > Reduce Noise I use that with different settings for almosy everything. One filter to rule them all! Oh, and yeah, I agree, the calculation time seems longer to me to. I actually used mandelbulber first, then found mb3d to be faster. But, I have seen some great looking animations made with mandelbulber. I keep hoping it will get a speed update. The progressive rendering is cool, but nothing compared to the 3D nav... |
KRAFTWERK | November 08, 2010, 11:32:03 AM Very nice bib! I really should try mandelbulber some day... MB3D takes too much of my time though. |
Prokofiev | November 08, 2010, 10:40:28 AM Beautiful texture ! |
bib | November 08, 2010, 09:19:40 AM @Tglad, eeerhm, I forgot to save the parameters. Not used enough to Mbulber, and I though it was just a quick test, but now you've pointed these eagle wings, I regret |
Guest | November 08, 2010, 08:21:06 AM This is great !! very nice 'meaty' spiral - yes the 'pockets' have repetition of the main shape Got something similar in apo >> >> http://fiery-fire.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d2tvqvb |
Tglad | November 08, 2010, 04:04:04 AM The bottom left corner is interesting, a sort of spider's web with eagle wings coming out of it. Any chance of a rotated close up? |
Russ McClay | November 07, 2010, 09:08:25 AM Fantastic. |
Buddhi | November 06, 2010, 10:17:46 PM Great image! Thank you for testing Mandelbulber. I'm glad you like it. |
