Description: I have started to check what Mandelbulber is capable of, and I'm not disappointed  shocked Here is a quick test. I feel at first sight that the render is a little bit more realistic than in Mandelbulb3D, but the calculation time seems longer. Just an impression of course.

Nice. I have been using Mandelbulber too. I am a rank amateur, but it seems pretty intuitive and a little more flexible than Mandelbulb3D.

Nice one!  I just had to see what it would look like with less noise:

http://reallybigname.com/renders/fractalforums/492_06_11_10_5_45_43.jpeg

Photoshop > Filters > Noise > Reduce Noise
I use that with different settings for almosy everything.  One filter to rule them all!   nerd

Oh, and yeah, I agree, the calculation time seems longer to me to.  I actually used mandelbulber first, then found mb3d to be faster.  But, I have seen some great looking animations made with mandelbulber.  I keep hoping it will get a speed update.  The progressive rendering is cool, but nothing compared to the 3D nav...

Very nice bib!
I really should try mandelbulber some day... MB3D takes too much of my time though.

@Tglad, eeerhm, I forgot to save the parameters. Not used enough to Mbulber, and I though it was just a quick test, but now you've pointed these eagle wings, I regret  undecided

This is great !! very nice 'meaty' spiral - yes the 'pockets' have repetition of the main shape wink
Got something similar in apo >>    >>  http://fiery-fire.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d2tvqvb

The bottom left corner is interesting, a sort of spider's web with eagle wings coming out of it. Any chance of a rotated close up?  cheesy
