Heh. I had an unknown planet theme in mind when I was scouting for a cool spot to take a render from, but now the more I look at this image I get a feeling of Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon?? Dunno why. tongue stuck out

Hi Loadus, Superb image - very moody and atmospheric! Your images on dA are equally
impressive, and well presented - the photographic influence is very evident there!  cheesy

@Tglad:
It's Mandelbox with some tweak parameters on folding and scale. Check it out: http://www.loadusfx.net/mandelbulber/desert-of-iteration.fract

EDIT:
If you want the construct fractal, look here: http://www.loadusfx.net/mandelbulber/eve.fract

@Loadus:
I'm wondering whether it is from a mandelbox or an IFS or a hybrid? and if so what the scale is... just out of curiosity really, its very unusual (and cool  afro)

Stunning Loadus, its a real sci fi alien world.
The other pictures in your gallery rock too, http://loadus.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d2tqrce.
Do you remember the parameters? or is it a lost world?

I would not have made the foreground so dark, but it's really a striking landscape. Please post more!  smiley
