Description: Created using Ultra Fractal. This shows a good view to use for testing the speed/accuracy of different algorithms for rendering the Mandelbulbs since the zoomed view is particularly prone to errors due to over-stepping when using DE. This view was done using analytical DE but required considerable reduction of the step values compared to normal in order to get an accurate render. The smooth iteration delta DE did not seem to require as much adjustment to avoid over-stepping. Edit: It just struck me that those of you not using UF will also need to know that the image plane is 4 units wide and 3 high at magnification 1.0 Stats: Total Favorities: 0 View Who Favorited Filesize: 454.87kB Height: 1200 Width: 800 Keywords: mandelbulb distance estimator test render fractal digital algorithmic ultrafractal Posted by: David Makin January 09, 2010, 02:09:44 AM Rating: by 1 members.
