Description: so here is my submission. there`s only one thing i know for sure, after finishing this one: it is the last fractal movie i render on cpu only. either i stop animating from now on, or i find a way to get the open cl version going. due to a bug, i had to re-render about 1200 frames the last few days, to finish it and i had to cancel my aim, to produce my own soundtrack. but i found some apt replacement. i took a track of http://www.opengoldbergvariations.org/, which is published under cc zero license (public domain). five seamless minutes of transmorphing mandelbox. have fun! John Smith | June 06, 2012, 01:51:55 AM I see. I use M3D, so I wasn't sure how similar Mandelbulber was. Very nice work. |
taurus | June 05, 2012, 10:45:25 PM thanks a lot to all of you. i appreciate your comments a lot. after working for months on this, i could no longer see, if it is apealing. i just stared too long at these images... @lar2 1. yes, i used keyframes here. 104 to be precise, with 70 subframes each. 2. fortunately an animated water-plane is a built in feature of mandelbulber. i wouldn't even try if it was not. i had enough to do with finding the right morphs an a smooth camera/light path. thanks again taurus |
John Smith | June 05, 2012, 01:47:37 AM A cinematic masterpiece. I'm curious. The surf effect- was it animated automatically, or did you have to change the parameters for every keyframe (If you used keyframes). |
Guest | June 03, 2012, 08:50:11 PM Beautiful - the Bach piano sonata combined with following the light and all the shapes from negative (box) pure pleasure !!! I started watching this on here and then switched to Vimeo quickly !! very nicely done, if I could vote on it ten times I would have |
