The Garden of Arignimt | ||||||
Previous Image | Next Image | ||||||
Description: One of Erignea's most famous biologic experiments led to the Garden of Arignimt. Considered a failed and abandoned experiment to grow stem cells on the trunks of Arignemean trees, nature took its course and created one of the most precious biotopes on the continent. Researchers from all over the planet have tried to reproduce the extraordinary vegetation, but until now have not been able to reproduce these species outside the garden itself.

Madman | April 01, 2012, 09:35:51 PM Thanks Mark! (and welcome to the forums, BTW...). The picture was entirely done in M3D, playing with the new dIFS options. |
Mark Florquin | April 01, 2012, 05:53:52 PM Fantastic Work! How did you achieve this composition? Using Voxelstacks? |
Madman | March 30, 2012, 08:33:42 PM Thanks, DB! I'll have those beers now |
dainbramage | March 28, 2012, 12:18:27 AM I can't believe I didn't comment on this way back when I rated it. Awesome work! |
Madman | March 22, 2012, 08:56:00 PM Thank you, Asdam! |
Alef | March 21, 2012, 06:24:06 PM Great work. Like natural scenery. |
Madman | March 19, 2012, 09:46:11 PM Thanks Don, maybe we can work something out ;-) Thank you too, Joagoo. I can tell you there's a Decocube and a height map in there combined with two transforms. And I transgressed every dIFS rule that I learnt later on |
JoaGoo | March 19, 2012, 02:21:58 PM the best i ever seen ... parameters??? |
Don Whitaker | March 18, 2012, 10:12:58 PM Stunning! The scales, variations, and patterns just scream 'landscape'. Inspirational, even. THIS is what the terrains I've been creating in Unity 3D should look like. Perfect fit for the fractal flora that I've been making. |
Madman | March 15, 2012, 09:17:52 PM Thanks Fractal Jam! |
FractalJam | March 15, 2012, 01:20:47 AM Awesome work, looks great |
Madman | March 13, 2012, 11:45:05 PM Thanks Weber! To be honest, I don't know what I'm doing either Although I think I know -more or less- how to use the "normal" formula's in M3D, dIFS still completely baffles me. And this one is 100% dIFS. It seems that all formula's infuence each other, so I just try stuff and sometimes something nice appears... I wish someone could tell me the basics of dIFS... |
Weber | March 13, 2012, 03:20:56 AM Wow simply beautiful! I can't even imagine(without looking at your parameters)how you even did this. |

Madman | March 12, 2012, 09:24:48 PM Thanks len! Well, you know, Erisian, I was already working on this one when your image came along, so how dare you copy my work before I even publish it! |
Guest | March 12, 2012, 07:33:26 PM How dare you do my work better than me! (http://www.fractalforums.com/index.php?action=gallery;sa=view;id=10579) |
lenord | March 12, 2012, 02:41:45 PM Great fractalscape, killer work |
