| Description: I just had to honor this lovable guy with a more decent closeup render… I will probably do more images of this one, but then I will tweak the parameters. Almost scared myself when he popped out from the DOF in Photoshop... As I said before, this is a unrestrained crazy mix of bulbs and boxes but I guess this chaos is needed to create these kind of "real world" organic creatures. ![]() Mandelbulb 3D, DOF effects done in Photoshop High res: http://mandelwerk.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d385h4z Stats: Total Favorities: 0 View Who Favorited Filesize: 458.27kB Height: 1200 Width: 1200 Keywords: mandelbulb mandelbox hybrid fractal Posted by: KRAFTWERK January 27, 2011, 04:37:30 PMRating: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() by 5 members.Image Linking Codes

| KRAFTWERK | May 28, 2012, 10:19:42 AM You are most welcome CeleXaoS. You know you have the chance to see it live at Värmlands Museum in Sweden: http://www.varmlandsmuseum.se/1/1.0.1.0/663/1/ http://www.fractalforums.com/fractal-news-across-the-world/beyond-the-infinite-opening-'live-report'/ |

| Guest | February 16, 2011, 11:28:00 PM Your work is unbelievable. I'm going to have a good look at your gallery. |
| KRAFTWERK | February 01, 2011, 08:46:00 AM Thank you Tex, yes I was glad when I found it, every time I look at it I imagine a quick attacking movement of the trolls head towards me... ![]() That mouth constantly chewing... |
| Guest | January 31, 2011, 02:45:02 PM I'm really liking this new discovery of yours; very dark and apocalyptic to my eyes - real End Of The World stuff. Moar! |
| KRAFTWERK | January 31, 2011, 09:40:32 AM Ahhh, of course Madman, I know what a Cumulus cloud is... I just thought CB was some kind of 3D thing... Yes it adds a bit more of the "threatening" atmosphere... ![]() |
| Madman | January 28, 2011, 04:56:51 PM I was referring to the cloud CB stands for Cumulonimbus; big clouds which generate loads of rain and often thunderstorms. |
| KRAFTWERK | January 28, 2011, 03:19:37 PM @miqel: Coming from you I take that remark as a big honor! ![]() |
| KRAFTWERK | January 28, 2011, 03:18:36 PM @Madman: Gonzo? Naaah... ![]() What do you mean by CB? The background is the background of the fractal, I just used the Zbuf from MB3D to apply a gradient "fog". (Except for the clouds in the upper left corner Which is a image of... clouds) |
| Guest | January 27, 2011, 11:46:29 PM That is one of the most intense, dynamic and wild fractals i've EVER seen! Bravo!! ![]() |
| Madman | January 27, 2011, 07:06:20 PM Reminds me of the drummer in the MuppetShow Great find KW! The CB on the background (at least I guess that's what it is) definitely ads to the atmposhere! |
| KRAFTWERK | January 27, 2011, 05:53:02 PM Thanks again popol, well put, a beautiful nightmare it is! |
| popol4444 | January 27, 2011, 05:51:24 PM Really impressive, a nightmare, but a beautiful nighmare |
