Recent research shows the two portraits are from slightly different perspectives, making them a stereo pair, perhaps by accident (two artists, two easels, offset from each other), or intentionally, and can we really doubt that Leonardo might have known what he was doing? I mean, the dude was amazing. Anyway, all done on iPad, with Lamanar Pro and i.Candy. The tesselation I made seems to be Seals from one angle, 7s from another, and even a flying bird from another. I then tweaked and poked and colored until I got what I wanted. I'm working a lot on iPad these days (since my Windows and Ubuntu machines crapped out on me :-(, and I can't afford repairs or replacement at the moment, and my recent Mac updates seem to have broken Wine, so no M3d for me for a while.) and there are a lot of great free or quite cheap apps out there.]]> http://www.fractalforums.com/index.php?action=gallery;sa=view;id=16065
