Description: Like always: Please read the textfile in the archive for a short documentation, and in the case of further questions or bug reports i recommend to make a topic in: http://www.fractalforums.com/mandelbulb-3d/ CAUTION: USE ONLY SAME PROGRAM VERSIONS TO CONTINUE ANIMATIONS OR BIG RENDERINGS DUE TO COLOR OR LIGHTING CHANGES! ALSO FORMULA UPDATES CAN CHANGE RENDERINGS! Thanks and have fun! What is new in version 1.7.9: - M3i file storing for "big renders" tiles. No batch changing yet. - New option to get the dynamic fog only on a certain iteration count, available in the 'Coloring' tab in the main window. Can also be blended instead of added, as option in the lighting panel. - Added this and some more values in the navi for changing. - Tryout to not allowing shut down Windows7 while rendering, could not test. - Some issues fixed, like loading of older animation m3a files with formulas that were enhanced with additional parameters. - Animation option to interpolate a keyframe inbetween. - Formula update, some with OTrap coloring mode for dIFS. Caution: If you use the enhanced "cylinderIFS" formula in older program versions, there will be some of the last values in the formula not loaded properly when the saved parameter file was done with the old formula version. Bugfix update 1.7.9.1: - With cutplanes enabled, issues with the background could occur. Update 1.7.9.3: - Stereo issue on cuts in stereo mode solved. - Dyn fog on its max count increased. - 24 bit SSAO option border reflect value to reduce border issues. - AO calc time included. - History folder containing parameters automatically stored. - "Threadboost" can be disabled in the internal tab. Update by Luca: Fixing for DE (and color) of Umbrella, plus updated board with colors. And added extra colored shapes Update n 2 by Luca: Fixing for DE of AmazingIFS, plus added some extra stuff... Update n 3 by Luca: Two new formulas added (not so sensational but try them) Update n 4 (critical) by Luca: Fixed a bug in _sphereinv. Formula update (the new switching things. but be careful they may crash if misused.) Update n 5 by Luca: Formula update again. 1 | August 30, 2013, 10:38:27 AM well done here... don't stop now.. a fractal can be mapped to anything at all. http://www.youtube.com/user/h92o -- https://vimeo.com/m8w |

Guest | June 02, 2012, 08:16:08 PM Thank you very much Jesse |
Guest | May 01, 2012, 02:39:07 PM Thx for this release! |
Guest | April 25, 2012, 08:37:41 AM You have my gratitude, Jesse. Without your hard work, I wouldn't get to have any fun. |
tomot | April 11, 2012, 12:34:19 AM 98% of programs lack the initiative nature that makes using them easy. On my list SketchUp is one and Mandelbulb3d is the other. |
PhotoComix | April 04, 2012, 05:15:24 PM thank a lot i never see a program that even be so complex is simultaneously so user friendly, and allow so quickly to get good results I never used a fractal program before and in less than a week i was able to do things that i like (and seems also somebody else like i just get a Daily Deviation on DA , and i am still a novice ) Thank again also for the constant updates |

ramblerette | April 02, 2012, 10:13:15 PM ottimo piatto!!grazie there are words like freedom sweet and wonderful to say |
skyzyk | April 02, 2012, 03:13:47 PM Thank you Jesse, this is great! Especially after Luca's April Fools joke. Have a good one. |
Teena | March 31, 2012, 12:05:45 PM WOW!!! Thank you so much for the interpolation feature! I love to store two different fractals in the animation maker and generate an interpolation. It's amazing what you can get that way. You're my hero! |
bib | March 24, 2012, 02:22:51 PM Congrats again Jesse for your amazing dedication. I think it is not overstated to say that Mandelbulb3D has now become a global de facto standard in fractal programs, at the same level as Ultrafractal or Apophysis. Between order and disorder reigns a delicious moment. (Paul Valéry) |
kameelian | March 05, 2012, 07:21:41 PM Gosh Jesse, do YOU even know just how wonderfully useful the new 'interpolate subframe' function is? If you do, I don't need to tell you...but Thanks anyway! Kam Mandelbulb3D - Like Christmas Every morning |
Jesse | March 05, 2012, 02:41:43 PM Thanks guys and good recovery Kam! It was my plan to get a mostly bugfree version out to have the time for the changes that are not that easy to do. Though it is not easy, just tested a modified SSAO that does not have this big border lightchange effect in animations, but i will stand tough and don't update! |
zonepatcher | March 05, 2012, 08:33:23 AM thank you so much for yer time n energy...it's so wonderful !!...excellent job n work !! |
kameelian | March 04, 2012, 10:14:25 PM Well thanks yet again, Jesse. But I'm sure I speak for everyone in suggesting that enough is enough now. I'm fed up with having Christmas so often. I can't keep up! Lets have no more updates for, say, a year or two - whilst we all get our heads around what we already have (!) You can get your life back... and I can look for the 'instant render' button that you have hidden so well on the versions I download. (please ignore the miserable lies above. I'm not well) regards Kam Mandelbulb3D - Like Christmas Every morning |
Tim Emit | March 04, 2012, 05:20:48 PM Many thanks Jesse, really love the program and how it's developing.. keep up the good work |
