Hey reallybigname, thanks for this "tweak". I never use Photoshop, but maybe I should try one day.

I have edited the image and uploaded a new version. Rendered in 12000x8000 with rectilinear lens and slightly different angle. Saved in 6000x4000, so with 2x2 AA. And downscaled to 1200x800, with an ugly jpeg compression. Anyway, much less noise ;-)

Beautiful!  But, I couldn't help but think what it would look like with the noise removed! So, I did it, and uploaded it to my server:

Photoshop Reduce Noise filter settings I usually use:

May be you can post this picture in the burning ship section.
Would be interesting to see more burning ship in 3-Dimensions.

hehehe. How did I do that? Yeeeears of M3D experience, my young padawan  alien  grin grin

Well, I took Jesse's secret file implementing M Benesi's burning ship 3D formula, cut it in half (good ol' recipe) to look for a traditional burning ship 2D shape, found it near the tip (what a surprise wink) then did a Julia of this area, explored a bit, and that's it wink

I'll let you do the flythrough  angel

That is so badass!!  How did you do it?

Oh, and a flythrough animation is mandatory.  It would just be too cool not to do. cheesy
