Description: I thought it may be already time for a new release, as there are some really major improvemens on point-cloud-export, and I'm not sure how many spare time I will find in the next weeks for further additions. What's new: - Point-Cloud-export: - major increase of sampling-quality - minor speed-increase (is compensated by generating more samples) - jitter-option to improve sampling of round shapes, usually gives good results at high volumetric resulutions > 1000 - option to generate normal vectors (is not the same as approximating the normals on the final mesh) - display elapsed time - Progressbar for the BulbTracer-preview - renamed the "MeshGen"-button back to "BulbTracer" (which was always the intended name) - updated the huge JIT-formula.pack ("EM_JIT_M3Formulas") from Alef from fractalforums.com - Added the missing formulas to the distribution: JosKn-KleinIFS, JosKn-ModIFS, K-TowerIFS Cheers! Mrz00m | October 13, 2017, 10:57:01 AM Awesome to have point clouds! i programmed a point cloud renderer for the stack files, and learned a lot about them. So of course color is a plus, and you can also sample all some points around every voxel to know which way the normal is facing, or you can search for the exact decimal space where the point is located, to get fine details in it and to avoid aliasing altogether... Also, you can throw out all the points which lie within a flat voxel space, and keep only the points in space which have a normal which points at an oblique angle, rather than facing X-Y and Z, it means that you throw out all the points except the corner and angle ones, which define a real edge, it reduces the cloud size and increases precision because there isn't aliasing. For any questions, I did some research on point clouds i know most things to be done with them to make them very fast and very precise. mail me for queries. |

clk1121 | September 23, 2017, 03:21:03 PM So how much money would it take for you to port the existing code to 64-bit architecture? This is some amazing software, I've been wanting to create some huge renders but DEAO shadows always end up looking blotchy and some of the other nice features (DOF/Reflections) aren't available in big render. Thanks for all of your hard work on this project! |
Brocoli | September 01, 2017, 11:52:10 PM Nice update ! |
Alef | August 29, 2017, 04:07:00 PM Wow, so fast. If scripting button would be usable it could be the final version. As there is not mutch to improve. fractal catalisator |
Sockratease | August 27, 2017, 04:14:59 PM YAY! Time to learn some new 3D software. I could have sworn that both Bryce and Carrara handled .ply files. Turns out neither does Thanks for all your hard work! Last modified by: Sockratease August 27, 2017, 04:15:28 PM Life is complex - It has real and imaginary components.
