The Slums of Atlantis | ||||||

Description: I've been travelling a lot lately. One of the places I frequented was somewhere in the southeast of Europe. Although quite different from what I'm used to, I eventually started to like the place. Sometimes I even liked the people... I had to travel daily from A to B (or more accurately from B to D) and back and after a couple of weeks knew several routes to go there. Sometimes I chose the wrong itinerary and ended up in a heavy pile of traffic. One of these days I decided to turn left to dodge the rest of the traffic jam. I felt as if I had had fallen off the world and entered a new one. The traffic was gone, but this was a world where nobody should live. The houses were built from corrugated steel or abandoned packaging. Waste was everywhere. This was not a refugee camp, but a part of daily life. I felt ashamed when I realized this was also part of Europe. This one is for the people living there Stats: Total Favorities: 0 View Who Favorited Filesize: 570.19kB Height: 800 Width: 1200 Discussion Topic: View Topic Keywords: Madman M3D Fractal Art Ruins Suburbia Perfect World Posted by: Madman ![]() Rating: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Image Linking Codes

Madman | June 21, 2016, 11:39:48 PM Thank you weavers, for your extended comment! Although I'm mildly synesthetic, it is definitely different than your experience... Never had images scream at me... And thank you for showing me things that I hadn't seen before you pointed them out ![]() |
weavers | June 21, 2016, 01:01:16 AM Greetings and Salutations Greetings and Salutations Greetings and Salutations Maestro MADMAN. Thanks for going in here, it's a place, a place in space, yes, and you visited it, and true it is quiet, it is, to all who are not tuned in to the vibrational waves of space, but the waves of space carry it's sounds too, and powerful are they. When we listen to your painting, it cries out to us. It tells us to stop, look, and listen. We hear fractals unleashing similarities telling iterations of stories of Travelers. Those who traveled. Those who have seen the good times, the prosperous times, and now experience hard times. We believe Master, you are Mathematician like no other, torn subconsciously to be a free, and your mathematical mind is one path out of many at your disposal to open the spiritual door, the portal, to ascension to the place of freedom you seek. May you reach you apogee, subconsciously unconsciously that you pursue, peace be with Master. Part of how your mind works is dare to explore. Not mad , but bold are you. Part of the picture subconsciously that grabbed you, grabbed us too. its the image in the center of the painting. the two eyes the eyes look human and you placed that part in the center of your composition artistically as anchor. Thank you. We believe the center of the painting is powerful we see the face, the face of emotional distraught woman her mouth , her jaw dropped open her teeth, her cry, her pain, she is suffering lost, the pain, is felt and felt. We love the sorrowful choice of ambiental colors you painstakingly choose to bring out the emotionality of her plight, and her peoples fate, as their fortunes turned bad, sad and doomed. It is a well constructed illumination, you got just the right amount of lights turned on, not to much gloss from the source. Thank you for sharing. . |
