Academy of Lights
Previous Image | Next Image
Description: Well, i do not want to write the whole story here and won't argue some arty farty contents and believes. Academy of Lights?!? ... because i had to learn handling the M.C. Renderer what can be a slow process if you don't bet on happy accidents. To me it is still a compromise but also a personal tech-demo to check out the great abilities of the M.C. Renderer and - last but not least - a tribute to Jesse's efforts and expenditure, who spent hundreds of hours to implement, support and let things happen like this.

Thanks a lot and again Jesse and all you formula gurus here on fractalforums.com
I'm looking forward to more of these fancy fractal innovations. happy

Excellent structures, like the cloisters of a cathedral, indeed! Great attention to detail in the lighting department, too! This must have taken hours to render!!!!

Thank you Johan and Torsten! happy

@Torsten: It is possible to bring up lots more light. And it's like Jesse says: Turn up diffuse colors, increase ambient ray depths and set a higher MaxL value in the DEAO ambient shadow tab. Then it can happen that it gets simply too much GI. My problem was the dirt map which i added by color wrap function. It was simply to dark. Yes, yes ... a very slow process. grin

Just fantastic implementation of mc gi rendering.
I still struggle with mc rendering, cause I miss a simple "strength of effect" slider, like I know from c4d hurt
