Description: Some time ago I was very impressed by an image at deviantart by user Batjorge: http://batjorge.deviantart.com/art/Undead-Heart-Pong-445-433562370 Batjorge kindly shared his parameters, so I grabbed the chance and created a flight around and into this fascinating object. Well there is nothing really special here, but I hope you have nevertheless a relaxing experience. As a bonbon there is also a stereo version available. Rendering time for stereo version about 20 days. At the end I have used 4 computers to get rendering ready in May. ![]() 100 percent Mandelbulb 3D Normal Version: Code: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12EDJxSXXAA Stereo Version: Code: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ib0CJXNpMtQ Enjoy Schizo Stats: Total Favorities: 1 View Who Favorited Filesize: 298.1kB Height: 720 Width: 1280 Discussion Topic: View Topic Keywords: Amazing Surface Mandelbulb animation Posted by: schizo ![]() Rating: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Image Linking Codes

schizo | June 19, 2014, 02:21:11 PM Thank you Christian. I also like to see a 2D image as a 3D object. When I first saw Batjorges image I thought: you need this as a 3D print : ![]() But I think this would be a bit tricky because of the fine structures and the type of fractal. Its an Amazing Surf so it is more like a thin film (visible at some frames) than a solid object. So now I have at least a 3D flight around it. ![]() |
cKleinhuis | June 12, 2014, 12:27:58 AM and especially i like to see a 2d image in 3d ![]() |
cKleinhuis | June 12, 2014, 12:09:22 AM great vid, i liked the continous zoom in 3d, well done, fitting good to the music! |
schizo | June 03, 2014, 09:32:40 PM Yeah quite pitty that most people don't do stereo versions of their animations. Most often it's "just" a doubled rendering time but not more work. I also like the structured halo. Maybe some fractal dust creates this. When you change parameter then a fractal surface appear where you actually can see the small halos. |
LhoghoNurbs | June 03, 2014, 08:07:06 PM Wow. Stereo version. I went directly for it. The halos around the objects were perfect. I even saw some structure in them - like small pieces of halos around the main halo. This would be hard to see in a mono vision. |
