The Mandelbar (aka Tricorn) fractal is a variant of the Mandelbrot where z-imaginary is multiplied by -1.  It's buddhabrot/nebulabrot form looks like a cosmic flower so it's been nicknamed "space lotus."

It's a fascinating fractal because the space lotus contains copies of itself as well as mini-mandelbrot/buddhabrots.

If rendered with enough detail you can find instances where they seem to face off or consume each other.

I've been working on tweaking my Buddhabrot renderer to produce high detail through careful source point searching and selection.

Here is a shallow zoom from the space lotus I call "Space Lotus VS Buddha."  The only editing done was a slight curves adjustment and downsizing of the original 1920x1080 image to 1200 wide.

I don't have the parameter file in front of me at the moment to give exact numbers, but it's a region about .07 high along the real axis inside the main body of the space lotus.
