ok, it is a julia centered 3d plot, it has nice knobs coming out, but the shape and the colors are looking like we have seen it befory ...

You're right, the colors are the same that I used for other plots. That set of colors looks good for 3D anaglyphs, and I must have been playing with this plot as an anaglyph.

These colors are a variant on the colors used in the Wikipedia article on the Mandelbrot set. (look for the section titled "Image gallery of a zoom sequence")
