Hello!

Recently i experimented with own coding of 3d fractals based on mandelbrots equation.

Tried many transformations of initial paramaters, the formula and the coloring.

After all the results of the slices of the bands ( of the iteration count ) were put into
layers, with different opacity, sometimes with additional layer effects.

TetraBrot... looks like a Bismut crystal....Look at Wikipedia for Bismut.

found a german Wiki page here : http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bismut

super work.  The last two really caught my attention.  And, it took me a few moments to realize your signature is in the last image.  Nice.

What are you using to render?

Hello thank you very much for appreciation.

I used a self programmed code in "Processing" : http://www.processing.org

you can find the program in the starting topic.

( you need to edit the saving path )

This code will cause different images, which needs to integrate into one, by using
layers in your preffered graphics application. You can add layer effects and other stuff.

The plain output of my programs looks rather boring.

( no real perspective rendering, just a trick which i achieved in the early nineties, and fuzzy
coloring )

Greetings,

Marco Vernaglione
