"The Ecstasy of St. Teresa Explained by the Mathematical Reconstruction of Gustave Courbet's Origin of the World"
Oil on Canvas 20”x20”

My latest painting, based on two fractals, depicts as its title states, Bernini’s magnificent Ecstasy of St Teresa,, but delves under her robes to find Courbet’s “Origin of the World”, in the throws of orgasm. The Waves of orgasm link the fleshy world of “The Origin” to the lofty miracle in marble of Bernini with all the pink and crème rivulets an orgasm can produce.

I would like to thank Hal Tenny for the parameters that eventually became the Mathematical Reconstruction
