These are just a few of the software used for creating fractal Images:
http://www.Nahee.com/spanky/www/fractint/fractint.html  (Free)
http://www.Eclectasy.com/Fractal-Explorer/  (Free)
http://www.Chaoscope.org/  (Free)
http://www.Apophysis.org/  (Free)
http://www.XenoDream.com/  (Trialware, no time limit, though worth the price)
http://www.ultrafractal.com/  (Trialware, still great software even if you are not going to purchase)

Here is a longer list of software:
http://www.Nahee.com/PNL/Fractal_Software.html
http://www.Nahee.com/Census/Most_Used_Counts.html
Thanks to "Nahee_Enterprises" for the link.

ChaosPro and UltraFractal are compatable with FractInt to some extent, useful for those who have .PAR files.
Apophysis is compatable with UltraFractal, you can export from Apophysis into Ultrafractal.

Why do all lists miss the Fractal Imaginator (Fi), programmed by Terry W. Gintz, which is the best program for Scientific Analyse.

You will find it listed within my software links page at:
    http://www.Nahee.com/PNL/Fractal_Software.html
I even show your entry in the "Fractal Census" as not only being one of the programs you have used, but also as the program you like the most:

That has to be the most comprehensive list anywhere, I wouldn't even try to think of anything that's not on it smiley

I am quite newbie on this great forum, and I just had a look at the fractals of the gallery.

The beauty and the rendering of the images you all create is stunning ! Congratulations to all of you, the creators.

I almost feel minus and quite ridiculous compare to all this grin

My question is simple : what are the main and most useful fractal softwares you use ? (3D fractal is my main interest)

By the way, it is also a good opportunity I think to refresh this topic. tongue stuck out

Thank you by advance.

for 3D fractals I guess the main ones are:

* Mandelbulb3D
* Mandelbulber
* Fragmentarium

and there are some others perhaps less popular, like StructureSynth.
