Hi all,

I am proud to announce the release of Mutatorkammer (beta)

this is a programm generating formules, capable of incorporating COMPLEX
numbers and 3d VECTORS of Complex numbers. A iterative function is also
included which takes an initialisator and a to recure function, i would
be glad if you could check it out here

http://fractalmovies.com/index.php4?mode=list_dir&dir_ID=36&artikel=235

besides of that, concerning a 1.0 release, i am in need of help, on
various topics, as there are: UserInterface Design, Documenting and
Example Formulas, if you feel interested in any of these please
contact me.

greets
c.Kleinhuis

talking about mutatorkammer, as you all are experts in using complex numbers, on could know that complex numbers can not be ordered, so to say, you can not state if a complex number is bigger or smaller than another one, this is one of *many* problems i encounter when coding the mutatorkammer, by this time there is an  function called IFLO which only takes the real part of two complex numbers to compare, i am not that happy with how this function acts, i was thinking about many ways how to implement this functions .... as there are:

1. Just compare real parts of the complex number ( the current way )
2. Just compare imaginary parts of the complex number
3. just compare absoulute values of the complex numbers

but none of them satisfies me, how would you incorporate this into a program like mutatorkammer ? would you make it an option ?
a global option, or a local option, or shall i include functions wich deal with either way to do it ? so to say

CREAL ( for CompareReal )
CIMAG
CABSOLUTE

what is your opinion about that ?!?

Well, most people enjoy having choices, and they like to experiment to see what works best.  More options will add more flexibility to the outcome, though it does increase the programming and complexity considerably.

I say go for it all !!

by writing this reply i realised that i will include the 3 different behaving functions, i do not want the user to have too much concern about what is going on, at last i just want him ( the user ) give only the ability to control the iteration depth and IFS points generated ..: Wink

Finally got around to giving the latest MutatorKammer v0-61 download a trial run.  And right off the bat got some interesting images.  Here is one of those:
