Very interesting image and composition. A lot of artistic qualities about it. Just cannot figure out how the title fits in.

Thanks mclarekin, that's not a bad idea. I might try a high resolution render and have it printed on canvas Thank you Weavers, you always get right to the heart of it And Nahee, the title is definitely connected to the image. I'll leave it to you to figure it out

And Nahee, the title is definitely connected to the image. I'll leave it to you to figure it out If it had been even remotely obvious, then I would not have made the statement I did. I see no trees, no reddish round fruit, nor anything to resemble any such objects. And since you are unable to be forthcoming in explaining it, I will have to assume that there really is no connection at all, just a made up name with no meaning.

Ah, but the fact that you don't see the connection between the title and the image doesn't mean that it isn't there . The fact that you are looking for reddish round fruit only tells me that you're not looking remotely enough to find the obvious

Ah, but the fact that you don't see the connection between the title and the image doesn't mean that it isn't there . The fact that you are looking for reddish round fruit only tells me that you're not looking remotely enough to find the obvious Just because there is something within an image that resembles a few tube like structures converging at a single point (on which happens to appear to be a viscous like substance), does not mean it was meant for "picking cherries". Especially since there is nothing else in the image that represents fruit of any kind, much less cherries. There is nothing to scale the objects within the image to show that they are even anywhere near the size of "cherries". For that matter, this could be a device for sampling and monitoring the substance for which it is encountering. Might as well say this is an elephant liquidation machine, or a chocolate additive device, or a a red cloud formation controller, or any number of made up names. Cannot wait to see somebody create an image of a pair of tweezers and call it "The Craft of Plucking Grapefruit".

If one thinks a bit more abstractly, it works on many levels.
Trying to make sense of things is a sign of sanity, and this - being the Art of Madman - is best appreciated without any such efforts.
Besides, Picking Cherries can have other meanings than plucking fruit. The phrase "Cherry Picking" has the meaning of selecting the best from a group - nothing to do with fruit there.
Perhaps Madman ate all the cherries, and that's why nobody seems able to find them.
AND it earned a Weavers reply - no small feat, that.
And then there's the Naughty definition of Cherry which we're best off not discussing in detail.
I'm sure there's more.
I think it's a unique piece with interesting composition and a nice color scheme. Well done, MM!

If one thinks a bit more abstractly, it works on many levels. Trying to make sense of things is a sign of sanity, and this - being the Art of Madman - is best appreciated without any such efforts. Sorry, but I cannot help being a sane individual. Besides, Picking Cherries can have other meanings than plucking fruit. The phrase "Cherry Picking" has the meaning of selecting the best from a group - nothing to do with fruit there. Perhaps Madman ate all the cherries, and that's why nobody seems able to find them. Yet another prime example of why some images should not have a title, unless the author is willing to explain it in some detail. AND it earned a Weavers reply - no small feat, that. Just hope I never earn one of those crazy reply comments!!! That person seems to show signs of mental problems; probably been self-medicating for way too long!!! And then there's the Naughty definition of Cherry which we're best off not discussing in detail. I believe the term there is "popping cherries", not picking them. And even that would not really fit the image. I'm sure there's more. I think it's a unique piece with interesting composition and a nice color scheme. Well done, MM! I have never said it was not a good image, because I did like it. (See my original comment just below.) Very interesting image and composition. A lot of artistic qualities about it.

Sorry, but I cannot help being a sane individual. You should work on that. Sanity is nothing but a One-Trick Pony. All you get is Rational Thinking. But when you're good and Crazy - The Sky's The Limit! Just hope I never earn one of those crazy reply comments!!! That person seems to show signs of mental problems; probably been self-medicating for way too long!!! Weavers is one of those Special Cases. They appear to be more than one person, and actually are quite entertaining if you read their stuff with a pillar of salt. I believe the term there is "popping cherries", not picking them. And even that would not really fit the image. Well, if you want to get technical, the term is Cherry - "popping cherries" is just one of many phrases associated with the term. As our resident Expert on All Things Perverted, I could list many more, but those dang terms of service prevent me from so doing... I have never said it was not a good image, because I did like it. (See my original comment just below.)
Very interesting image and composition. A lot of artistic qualities about it. cheesy Didn't mean to imply you never said such a thing - just giving my opinion, which happens to concur with yours on this point!
