p'jem

http://www.fractalforums.com/index.php?action=gallery;sa=view;id=11308

the fractal interpretation of a star trek theme.

it's more or less a demo image about the new individual layer export of mandelbulber v 1.12

the initial ifs parameter is taken from http://ectoplaz.deviantart.com/art/Construct-268058906 by Ectoplaz. the background is a mix of nasa imagery and an old flame of mine.

have fun!

I think you needed a lot of time to setup this image. Final effect is perfect

thanks buddhi, glad you like it! grin

it wasn't that complicated as it might look. the only trick is, to set up the lights in a seperate fract file. the advantage is, that you don't need to take care of camera positions or angles. after positioning the lights, i just copy/paste them with a text editor to the main scene - thats it. wink

the glowing blue lines are a product of playing around with layer modi in post production.
