It only took a couple of days in my spare time to use Google to translate all of the English texts in the GUI to Russian but I have no idea if it's good or bad, I can only guess at language semantics and syntax If you would like other languages for the GUI or have time to help out please post me a note indicating how you might be of assistance, proof reading, doing the translating, beta testing, etc... I would like to do the help files as well but am unfamiliar with this "Internationalization" process and the functionality from a programming standpoint, I still have a few things to learn

I am not a fragmentarium user so I am not familiar with the text used in the program. Neither am I a programmer. But I would like to help with translating. I can translate the program gui to Dutch, if I know how to do that.

Motivation is like a salt, once it has been dissolved it can react with things it comes into contact with to form something interesting.

I think all programmers knows Enhlish, strange if not. And Frag has intuitive interface. So translated manual for beginners - it will be more actual. Need really basic things. Fragmentarium works even on IvyBridge GPU and theoretically, the number of users is increasing.

I'm russian, can help, but don't think that translating will change something as soon as I have a win exe I'll pm you a link, the zip will have the raw translation text file too The idea is that there would probably be fewer questions if help files and things are in a familiar language, easier to understand what a button or menu item does. I agree that most programmers probably understand English out of necessity just because of the code, compilers and documentation they have to work with. Qt provides a facility for locale aware GUIs and all of the tools to make them so for me this is a fun way to learn more about programming and maybe encourage others to explore math and fractals. EDIT: we'll see how the poll goes

Ok, the poll is done, thank you all for the input and generous offers of your precious time yeah, machine translation is laughable @Christ-JRoger you're right it seems not to make a big difference in using the program itself, maybe just documentation needs some attention

I see you already got a volunteer for the dutch version If you cannot find a native speaker for german, I'm in (am sort of an ex-native speaker and can tame google translate-garble well enough to produce something making sense, I hope ). But if you find a real native speaker, by all means!

Here is the raw xml as a txt file for anyone that would like to translate, it is English to (machine)Russian, the format is simple, just replace the relevant parts with your native language and pm me a link to your text file, I will include as time permits and add a credit to the About section. Thanks (in advance) for the input

3dickulus, я скачал файл, попробую перевести с машинного русского на человеческий русский. Попробую быстро, но при наличии времени.

@SCORPION whatever that file you posted is, Fragmentarium ru.rar, it is useless to me, not useable, it extracts to a xml file that is 930K, the original with both English and Russian (machine) is only 116K, your file has lines longer than 4096 characters.
For translations I can only accept a text file in the same format as the one I posted earlier, no .xml, no .doc, only .txt
can you post the text only file?

And I opened your file in Notepad, but there are still hitched in one pile. Then I was given a boost in Microsoft Office Word file and edited there. well, I reopened the file in a Microsoft Office Word and save as .txt Strangely, the file will be smaller than the original.

Word saves a lot of extra stuff like editing history, colors, font, page formatting etc. Your .txt file looks perfect
