i have set gallery öpermissions to regular members now, perhaps it is workin now ?
I just checked with the test account, and it is unchanged. Still not working. Not sure what's wrong. I checked everything I could find. Maybe make a new version and we can then move the existing uploads there once it's working? (the old category can then be deleted) |

how are the images upload that are visible in the galleries? at the bottomn there should now be an add image button... It was stated that only the "Bulk Add" option works to get the images uploaded, and that's how the member uploaded images got there.. My own was uploaded normally, but the categories appear normally for Admin and Moderators. That's why I created our "Test" account. Log in under that name and see what the gallery really looks like to members. Something is wrong someplace, but I couldn't figure it out in the settings (the "add a picture" button was always there, it just never displayed the contest categories) (see the previously uploaded screenshots by kali). |

Well, I had to use the bulk uploader too, as my image didn't upload the first time with the "add picture" option....or so I thought.....when I did it with the bulk uploader, then I ended up with two copies in the gallery.....that was earlier today. Then, just a few minutes ago, I came back in here, went to check and see if I had any comments on it, and it wasn't showing up as being in the gallery at all! So I uploaded it again, and now, I see one copy in the contest 2D gallery, and another in a different place! I have no understanding of this......do you guys know what's up??

ok, i have checked it with a test account i made, and it appears that somehow the image upload locking in the root folder
of the gallery contest directory needs to allow image uploading, when i enable the option, it is working, meaning that
the category of the upload directory is set correctly, please check it out and confirm

ok, dudes, start producing as a side note: i am now going to develop an android app for the fractalforums.com gallery, my hope was that it could be finished before the contest ends, to get up to date images right to your smartphone, i can not say when this application will be finished, but i am working on it, i use my flash-gallery-soap application i already have developed a long time ago.... fyi |

I'm a bit confused about the 2D restriction. I expect that "single render" means that layered fractals are not allowed, but where is the boundary between 2D and 3D? Are flame / Apophysis fractals considered 2d or 3d?

The boundary depends on the appearance of the fractal, if it *looks* 2D or 3D. |
