Does anyone know how to do this? I have no clue what I'm doing wrong. I do have the Landscape library files in my Fractal Explorer main directory, and I can access the 3D maker if I go in and click the '.exe' file. But for some reason I cannot access it via the FE main frame when I have a 2D fractal displaying there. It always gives me the warning message, "You cannot open Fractal Explorer Landscape Library ! and etc." and gives the link to the old downloading page...

As any one using FE knows, there's a little button at the top near the 'gradient' and 'size' and other tabs that plainly indicates that we should be able to convert a 2D image into 3D, like, voila'. To just go in and choose the 'exe' file in the Landscapes library folder, it just ain't the same! Online there's a small tut for this too, but it doesn't show how to actually convert existing 2D fractals with the 3D function.

Any help on this would be soooooo much appreciated... I'll buy you a sweet tea...or even a beer, if preferred  A Beer Cup

I conceived and developed a new geometry of nature and implemented its use in a number of diverse fields. It describes many of the irregular and fragmented patterns around us, and leads to full-fledged theories, by identifying a family of shapes I call fractals.

You'll find what you need here, which I believe is the url you get in the error message: http://www.eclectasy.com/Fractal-Explorer/download.htm (hint: not all links are dead  wink)

Now you can make a little donation to Fractal Forums instead of buying me a beer.  grin

Not sure exactly what you need but attached png shows what I have.
I assume you are aware that the  3D part  is a primitive terrain, water (translucent,  afro), clouds and sky generator, with texture mapping. Limited resolution.  It was fun and easy to use but  has been superseded by better actual 3D fractal programs.

cheers
