Something that trips me up sometimes when I'm rendering an animation - at some random frame, the camera flies really close to the surface of the fractal where something intense is happening, and mandelbulber will spend hours rendering a frame that just ends up being white noise.  A lot of times, I'll manually stop rendering, skip the frame, and continue rather than wait for the program to waste an entire day rendering 0.01% of an animation when all the other frames might only take a minute or 2 to render.

If other people have this problem too, might be helpful to have a parameter that can be set in the animation settings that will bail out if a frame takes longer than X seconds to render.  

I think the partially-rendered frame.  That way when they're being animated, you can still interpolate the partially rendered frame with the fully-rendered frames near it in the sequence so it doesn't break up the animation too much.
