I thought that "Good Day" was "Guten Tag" in german.
And that "Schönen Gruss" meant "Kind regards" in english.

I just usually say "Willkommen" and "Grüße".  (I try to use the double-s and umlauts whenever possible.)

 smiley    wink    cheesy

:-))), I agree here .
I think it´s not always easy to say what we like to do in our own & different languages.

With some * Translator´s * you are able to produce a 3. World War as I think :-)))

You are right here for my understanding.

And, I think you use a really great  * Translator * ! :-)))))

Fact & what I like to say:

The * Translator´s * are great, but will not really replace, what we try to say and want to express at last .

These are great , necessarry & indispensable ( unverzichtbare, in german ) machines, but we should always have our own look here a bit , as far as possible, what * they * do  :-))) ...

For myself I made * Peace * here a long time ago ...

And, I send * Kind regards * , * Greetings *  &  * Einen netten Gruß * now here :-)))

trifox, just "welcome" (or the "hello" i get when logged in) is fine.

paul, your understanding of the phrase is correct, but a direct translation from schön (nice, or pretty) gruss (greeting or welcome) as a single english word sounds kinda strange, and is worth changing on the front page smiley

oh dear, seems to be a bug in the insert procedure, i will remove the "pretty" things from the tables

it is mean to be a collection of simple words for as amany language as can be .)

so thank you very much for the input!

Well, now it only says "Heing". But I'm still prettySure (pun most definitely intended) I only wrote "Hei". Writing "Heing" would have been prettyUnnatural (hihi) to me, just like writing "Hellong" would be to you.

I got a rather unusual greeting before I logged in today. It said "prettyvelkomenl-generationtrue-3d-mandlebrot-type-fractal465, guest" and I think that is somewhat strange.

the language experiment is officially over, and in rework. the goal of the module should have been to create  database for phrases in different languages,
but the current implementation was just a small hack and was getting bizare  evil so, i put it down from the site and will modify it in the background perhaps
a little if i have some time for it..

sorry for inconvenience
