Permissions for the memberlist have been restricted to moderators.  If you need to contact someone, PM them.

Sometimes one has forgotten the exact username and may wish one had a memberlist to browse through in order to find it and thus send a PM.

On the other hand, we could end up with a lot of famous people here whose non-PM contact details ought not to be so accessible.

To end this conundrum, you ought to be able to hide the contact details from the memberlist entirely. I'm no expert with SMF boards (my business forum is Invision) but they should have similar controls to Invision or phpBB.

You can search for members by using the Advanced Search at the top of the page.
