ok, i now come to the point where i beliefe that modifications of standard slogan (the possibilities are infinite) should be officially allowed, because i recently saw some good ones ... so i tried to formulate some basic rules in the poll above, but this should only start the discussion, and basically the idea of my view of how to define a rule for a slogan ... that is easy to grab...

I like the original "the possibilities are infinite"....because they Are

I say "All or Nothing" - either allow it virtually unrestricted, with submissions which vary too much being subject to approval for the rotation at the top of the page, or strictly the original slogan - and go through and manually move all variants to the user's personal gallery!

Otherwise you may end up with things like this:

I'm gonna have to go with lenord. I don't mind change, on the contrary, as long as it leads to an improvement. And what can be changed in a perfect slogan?? Else, we will see all Sock's friends come out of the woodwork and create, well, strange stuff like the "thing" above

after sleeping a night, they are clearly NOT finite, but somehow it is funny as well ... so, i really dont now what we should do about it ... cause i wouldnt like to clean up logo section every day

Yeah, it's a touchy situation.  We've been turning a blind eye to variants for so long that to suddenly put a stop to any changes would be awkward.  But just stating that any changed slogans are subject to approval is not unreasonable.

Then if people start with things like my joke banner  (Which I did not post for the rotation! - It's in my own gallery)  (but I'd be happy to fix the letter scrolling off the bottom and add it to the rotation  )  we have no problem just moving them to the individual user's gallery and claiming "Administrative License"
