Hello everyone,

I received a personal message yesterday, but all my attempts to reply have failed. I click the "Reply" button, write my message, but when I click the "Send" (or "Preview") button nothing happens. I remain in the editor and the message is not sent (or no Preview is shown).

I am using Fedora Core 6 and Firefox 2.0.0.4. Any idea what might be going wrong?

Thanks!

I also use Firefox 2.0.0.4 but on a Windows-XP system.  Have not had any problems sending or replying to Personal Messages.

I do know that there have been some problems in the past with certain aspects of this Forum not working correctly in a Linux environment.  So I will see if there are any known issues and fixes to resolve your current situation.

Are you using a specific firewall application??

Hello,

Thanks for having a look into this. I tried to reply to your test messages, but again nothing happened. I tried from Fedora Core 6 with Firefox 2.0.0.4, Windows XP with Firefox 2.0.0.4 and Windows XP with IE 7. I am using only the Windows firewall.

Hi I am running Ubuntu (Breezy I believe) in a VM on Windows.

The default install of Firefox 1.x exhibited the problems you are describing - this is a very curious problem.  The code looks OK - it contains anchors and images, nothing more - no fancy javascript to mess things up.

After some searching around on how to update Firefox on Linux (I am trying sooo hard to be patient with Linux) I managed to update Firefox to 2.0.0.4 and the personal messages work again.

I have just updated the forum to the latest version, please give it another go because 'they' might have fixed something.
