Hi

I'm an animator putting together an animated short

http://mpmaxwell.com/Azmod.htm

I need an 8-10 sec animated clip a little like the transition in the film blueberry

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/9ztU1bafTig&rel=1&fs=1&hd=1" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/v/9ztU1bafTig&rel=1&fs=1&hd=1</a>

at about 1:20, that zooms in for the entire animation,

but using a more vivid and stylized fractal design

my budgets approx 150 GBP

if anyone is up for this please contact me at mark@mpm7.com

thanks

I have some experience in this area, and would be willing to give it a shot, but I need more information.

The clip you showed is computer generated, but I'm not entirely sure it's fractal.

I take it you are looking for something similar.  The Mandelbox / Mandelbulb could produce similar effects, and with sufficient post-processing it could be made to have a similar look  (I'm certain the clip you posted was heavily post-worked!).

Have a look at the Mandelbox and Mandelbulb videos to see if I am on the right track.

I'll wait to hear from you on this site, rather than email you  (people posting for help on forums as their first post, and simply saying to email them is a common practice for spammers - Not that I think you are one!  I just would rather get all the information, and find out if my style would meet your needs before moving on to email).

I'll try and put together a short low resolution demo as a test while I'm waiting to hear back from you...

Hi    I'm an animator putting together an animated short
I need an 8-10 sec animated clip a little like the transition in the film blueberry
        youtube.com/watch?v=9ztU1bafTig
at about 1:20, that zooms in for the entire animation,
but using a more vivid and stylized fractal design
    my budgets approx 150 GBP

The sequence within the supplied video example, at the 1-min.20-sec. point you referred to, is very similar to the many Mandelbox videos that may be found all through this Forum (and elsewhere around the Internet).

Could you be a little more descriptive in what you are looking for, or give some examples??  Not sure what your definition of "more vivid and stylized fractal design" really means.

I've been in contact with shufflelot on a daily basis since he started this thread and his requirements are quite complex in fact. I don't go into the details, but he provided me with an extract of his movie were he wanted to insert the fractal animation. So far he had been using electric sheep animations.

Actually I have not been posting new images or videos this week because I work on this particular project. And here is the current state of my work, in low-res for the moment, and still a lot of adjustments needed...

Hey Bib,

Was that made out of Mandelbulb 3d, Jesse's program?  That is exactly what I would expect to see in a 3D fractal.  Nice!

Thanks for the kind words Thunderwave. Yes, that was produced with M3D. Just work in progress, but especially a very enriching artistic collaboration...

Welcome, Bib.  I can't wait to see it finished.  Makes me want to work harder on M3D.

This is funny, I just have been asked by a techno producer if I could make the cover of a CD cheesy
