I usually don't chime in.  I leave that to all you experts.  But I decided to give 1.9.0. Alpha 1 a try.  I saved a parameter that I want to render so I took it back into 1.8.9 but couldn't open the parameter.  I get an error message - "division by 0".  Has anyone else tried opening up 1.9.0 parameters in 1.8.9?  I guess when 1.9.0 or 1.9.1 or whatever gets the M3I save function back, I will be okay.

Andreas, thank you so much for keeping this program alive.  It has a special place in my heart as I know it does with many others.  cheesy

Brent backwards compatibility is asking too much...
Because 1.9.0 allows two slots more than before smiley (for now)
And I am curious about Mandelwerk because he always wished more slots wink

I figured as much.  It's okay, I manually copied my settings from 1.9.0 to 1.8.9 and achieved the same result.

Have you tested _Cond* formulas? These modify iteration counts of the other formulas (oops!). No crash here but the rendered fractal is different.

I think the best stategy is to ignore the problem until Andreas comes up with the final revision.
When max formula count is defined, those formulas in any case will need a revision wink

Bug 2:
Interpolate mode isn't working; way minor issue as in 3 years less than 10 persons used that

Sorry guys I have been using interpolate for a while now  embarrass Several of my Amazing Surf 2 path are done using Interpolate.  Dunno how many at the moment but if you want I can check.  Of course that's just me, but I like having all 3 modes. 

And thank you Andreas!  Thank you so much, it is wonderful to know that MB3D will continue to grow!

I know I'm the noob here. But there is things that I miss...
- open parameters from clipboard (is somewhere else now?)
- no more preview picture when opening of M3Parameters

I love these features.

mb3d currently only allows for three separate heightmaps to be used at the same time.  I assume it's a memory thing. I would love to be able to use all 6 (or cool formulas as separate individual heightmaps.  I there anyway to increase this?

I would also like a diffuse map per ifs. to allow different texture/ color for individual formulas.
