Excellent stuff Titia, I particularly like the first one.  I'd have never thought about using a pattern like that.

From the point of view of a scientist, and one who is specially interested in relativity, Banner III has a lot going for it.  Very nice work!

Definitely #1 and #3 are the choices here.  Both have their appeal, and way of expressing this Forum, as Robert Oldershaw has already pointed out.  One shows an artistic side (where simple and clean is actually more), and the other shows a technical side.
