Several works of the Japanese artist Hokusai are showing wonderful fractalstructures.

The rest of the site is also very worthwhile.

I love Hokusai. And I have found a few good fractal variations on his wave Smiley

I'm a newbie on this site, but like very much what I have been able to see so far.  The fractal is one of my creations, and I thought of it immediately when I saw the Japanese wood block print.

Lordy, that is a beaut, the metallic fish-scale texture makes it seem half sea and half sea-monster. Or sun-fish LOL - yes, definitely a sunfish

Not to drag in any wet blankets, but it would be better if you didn't attach large images in the future. It is easy to get a free image hosting account that allows direct linking, and it saves on the forum's bandwidth, which could become an important (read expensive) issue in time. PhotoBucket, Tinypic, and others offer simple ways to upload your images and create the link code for you to copy and paste into your post. Smiley

Very Nice !!   Thank you for sharing this image with us.

And thanks also for the PAR files you sent into the FractInt mailing list.  Have not had an opportunity to go through them, but looking forward to it this weekend.

Sorry! My bust.  I didn't think about the size of the picture when I posted.  I won't do it again.  This is my first time doing this stuff and I went ape when I saw the post and realized what I had done.  Again, sorry, and there will be no repeat of that size.  I will thumbnail all subsequent postings.  But I am glad it is being enjoyed by all.  Makes my day when I have created something that is appreciated.. Thank you.
